Winter storm:

We finally got a decent snowstorm here in Ithaca. Its been snowing since last night and is supposed to keep going until later tonight. There's already significantly over a foot (probably closer to 18 inches), and it keeps coming! Unlike the localized lake effect snow that dumped over ten feet up in Oswego last week (hour and a half north of here), this storm is affecting most of the northeastern US and isn't expected to give more than 2 feet here.

But still, its a lot of fun! Its all powder (so no chance to build anything, unfortunately), but walking to campus this morning would have worked better with snowshoes. They finally decided to cancel classes at about noon, so I got out of both my classes today. Its 10 degrees, blowing, and snowing heavily, but I took a while to walk around campus after lunch snapping pictures.

Beebe Lake, completely frozen , of course.

Its a good thing I got out running last night, because the rec way will probably be much more suitable for skiing than running for the next few days.
